I LET IT FALL / MY HEART




#tidal   polka dotted top - pimkie // lace top - thrifted in Boston // skirt, cardi, boots - h&m


001 // This week we'll still have indoors outfits as my sister went to our mom's house and thus I lost my photographer. I stayed in Lisbon due to uni course work. I never seem to concentrate when I'm at my mom's, so when I really need to put in the effort, I can't go there. I know this happens because I lack discipline, but still - better safe than sorry.

002 // I have finally started catching up on my usual tv shows despite the critical time of the academic year (I still need a break now and then!). I wonder if any of you watch the same shows I do. Lately it's been Private Practice, Criminal Minds and Castle. I watch more shows but I haven't been able to catch up on those yet.

003 // On Monday, I'm going to the my college's internships office to see if they can help me get an internship in a magazine. Yes, my preference would be Vogue, but I'm well aware that competition is fierce and I'm probably not so good that I'd call it a slam dunk. Nevertheless, I remain hopeful and I will definitely go for it.

      «Unfortunately, no. I'm not based in NYC (so depressing), I live in Portugal at the moment. I want to move to London (because if I could to NYC I would, but visas are hard to get) but I'd like to try and get an internship in our Vogue first so I can get my feet wet in actual fashion experience.

  7. Criminal minds! what a good show. I used to anticipate each episode back then when the eldest guy was still there. He was the genius I think :)
    this skirt has such a lovely print Jo. and yeaa, blogging can take so much time. it's eating away my free time hehe^^ (in enjoyment)

  9. Adoro esse top, wow wow! Eu sou a papa séries, vejo TUDO e mais alguma coisa - menos séries da Shonda Rimes ou lá como se chama, não consigo gostar. Pra mim tem de ser cenas maradas, mesmo. O Castle adoro por ser cómico, Criminal Minds tb pq mexe comigo brutalmente. Fora isso, séries de terror venham elas! Vogue seria excelente, mas felizmente que em Portugal já vai havendo um nr. razoavel de revistas, não é? Qdo eu acabei a faculdade e andava á procura de um estágio escrevi para a direcção de uma das poucas revistas que cá havia a propôr-me a um estágio não remunerado. A directora da revista nem uma miserável resposta mandou, acreditas? Bastava um não, mas pelo menos teria sido sinal de respeito... enfim, felizmente as coisas já mudaram muito. xoxo

    believe in your talents. I'm pretty sure someone will want to accept you for an internship. if the main ones don't work out, try the local ones, like Russh. and you can gradually promote yourself. whoosh~ one day I might see you in a monthly issue in Harper's Bazaar or Vogue. *all the best of luck!!*
    yep. same. Totally need that advice of organising my time. With twitter + pinterest, the blog cue just gets longer and longer = more time spent online. sometimes I wonder whether blocking my blog after 30mins use would be good (daily)...though that would suck...30mins only :'(

    And I really want Spring/Summer to arrive as well, it's been way too cold & rainy & I really don't like it!

  21. Thank you. No, you haven't discouraged me at all. It's just good to know that the yellow one is not as good as the other colours. Let's see if I'll try it :)
    Beautiful outfit, especially the lace top is wonderful.
    #1 reminds me so much of myself. I lack discipline, too and I can only concentrate at home with all electronical things switched off.
    I don't watch Private Practice and Criminal Minds, but I don't know Castle. I'm obsessed with HBO's Rome and The Tudors (as you probably already noticed). I want to start with Sherlock after finishing the Tudors for the second time.
