YOU MAY SAY I'M A DREAMER / BUT I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE



Rachel's JW Anderson pumps are killing me.

Just dropping in to tell you that I am, indeed, starting my PR internship next month. I just arrived from the meeting I told you about and I'm still basking in the sensation that I finally found and landed an internship that interests me. Do you think the first one is the hardest one and that things get easier? I wonder. My future bosses were very concerned about my realising that I might find this internship boring as their PR is very limited. I can see why they'd think this because the internship is in a hospital which means I won't be producing that much since they're not selling a product (it's a public hospital). However, I believe this is a good first experience with interning and what I'll do later no one really knows (yet).

I just want to take in all knowledge and wisdom I possibly can from this internship and learn whether this is an area I might want to work in.

  9. yay~ the mail of great news has finally landed :D so happy for you hun.
    hospital? hmm you sure you won't be doing much? the works can be quite repetitive, but I hope the first few days won't be too stressful (think-on-your-toes kinda days)
    I'm seeing solidly good streetstyle snaps featured in your blog recently ay ;) dayum~ those look so nice. I wouldn't see why people won't have a crush on it. I am!
    life's been good so far. gonna post a bit on my year12 formals by this evening. my photos are a bit amateur haha so I pair with one of the photographers in the post, which is also someone from my school =) how fun! Hope you're having a lovely day so far.
    can't wait for your first day entry on the internship. and eyes on the goal, magazine internship ♥

  23. thats great news!! it's good to get some experience and really scope out the industry and see what u really want to do. both fashion PR and journalism is great fun and it's kind of intertwined, plus nowadays, you can totally do both, obviously focusing on one a bit more, who's to say u HAVE to pick only one and stick to it? u're kind of already doing fashion journalism with the blog lol
    do u plan to work for a magazine in london? i'd actually love to work for i-D or selfservice, love their passion and style to bits!

  24. ure right, i never thought about that, it does conflict in many ways hahaa...
    yes u shud totally apply for i-D or dazed, there connections are really good and u get to meet loads of amazingly talented and fun people.
    i worked as a stylist assistant for a month and it was loads of fun!! handling all the clothes, seeing how things clash or contrast, etc.. really good fun! but it is tiring though hahaa

    pls come to london and do fashion, i'd love to show u around :D

    I think every experience will bring you something to learn, even if you are not going to commercial-sell anything. As for things gettin easier, well at least you'll have more experience in your CV next time. Good luck with you internship.

Olha, um part time tb era o que eu queria... aliás, eu continuo desemporegada há mais de um ano precisamente porque digo sempre que quero um part time para poder acompanhar o crescimento do meu filho. Levam isso muito a mal, os profissionais de recursos humanos deste país. Principalmente se forem mulheres. Se eu dissesse que queria um part time para ir ao ginásio se calhar achavam muito bem - não desfazendo daquilo que disseste no meu blog, Joana. E quanto ao teu fisico e á praia, lembra-me de te mostrar uma foto minha em fato de banho. Vais ver que pensas logo duas vezes quando vires a baleia branca que deu á costa, ehehehh!!!
