I don't know where to begin with Jonathan Saunders' show because, much like his collection, I feel a bit all over the place. I loved most of the pieces, but, as an outsider, I couldn't follow the flow of thought, I couldn't comprehend the story (or history) behind the collection and I couldn't see any natural and harmonious transition between the looks. After reading about it yes, I could see why he put together so much, but if I hadn't read anything about it, I couldn't see the purpose of laminated leather with colour-blocking dresses and sequined two-pieces. I can't deny that I loved the collection and I would wear most of it (though not the fishscale-like dresses, I'm too everything for those!), but I just couldn't find the logic. But perhaps there wasn't supposed to be any logic and that was Saunders' logic...What are your feelings on this one?

I really love JS's show! it really is what I'm really into at the moment, the shimmer and mirror and shiny surfaces! oh my!!!
ReplyDeleteNope, não gostei. Não li nada sobre a colecção mas achei de uma falta de coerência assustadora... Mas eu não sou muito de brilhos, se calhar por isso é que não entendi esta colecção.
